• Roopak has headed the digital divisions of companies like The Hindustan Times group, The Times of India group, Penguin Books group, Padmini Multimedia group, Internet Promoters India Ltd. & HCL Technologies
• He was the founding Director of CH2M-Hill (Now called Jacobs Engineering Group), a US based Engineering & Infrastructure MNC, in India
• He has been a Diplomat having served as the Hony. Consul for the Republic of Malta in India.
• In this capacity, he was responsible for many bilateral trade & aviation agreements. He coordinated the state visits of Maltese Presidents and Prime Ministers
• He is also an established theatre actor & has been a regular member of Delhi's oldest theatre group, Stagedoor. He has performed in more than 150 shows all over India & abroad
• An active social worker in the field of Mental Health, he has been the Secretary & Chairperson of NGO 'Sumaitri, which is the New Delhi branch of UK based international NGO The Samaritans'
• He is passionate about everything related to Modern School and is a 3 time member of the MSOSA Executive Committee along with leading various flagship events like the MSOSA Play
• He was also the longest serving Vice Chairperson of the PTA of R. S. Junior Modern School & was responsible for spearheading many new projects in the school including Air Quality Improvement Systems & RFID Attendance System
• He is one of several Kathpalia family members who are Modernites including many Uncles, Cousins, Nieces & Nephews.
